Fashion magazines and newspapers always carry a certain set of messages, what if we were to subvert them and changed into something more meaningful? Join London-based street artist "Hello the Mushroom" for a collage and mixed media workshop where we will be exploring how we can subvert existing printed media.

This class will be taught in English.

All supplies will be provided for this class, but you are encouraged to bring your own magazines or cutouts that you enjoy!

About the teacher:

Hello The Mushroom brings a little bit of the London art scene to Norway during her special visit to Oslo! Her work can be found on the streets and in galleries, and is mostly based on collage and other reworked found imagery. It takes a humorous approach to female empowerment, sexuality, body image and beauty standards as well as reflecting her recovery from a life-threatening form of cancer. Her work often features skulls representing the transience of life while challenging us to re-evaluate our life's

purpose and priorities.

She is also currently involved in creating long term projects with other artists, as part of the Micro Galleries International Artist Collective (Hong Kong) as well as the Redbridge Final Party, a Death Positive Library Service part of Redbridge Library (Ilford, UK).
