Welcome to the wonderful wacky world of comics! 

In this class, we will teach you the basics of creating comics, from creating interesting characters to engaging scripts to understanding panel design. We will go through the key fundamental skills for creating an engaging and well-structured story that blends your imaginative world with the skills necessary to communicate those ideas.

During the class, we will be creating a short 8-page comic as a group activity based on different story prompts provided by the facilitator, such as the genre, plot and characters. 

You will be learning how to thumbnail sequences before refining the comic pages.

Each month at Blank Space we offer a special drawing workshop switching up between studying difficult skills and experimenting with playful exercises.

This month we offer one of our PLAY classes - these classes are created to help you play with all those fun drawing skills you have learned, without the pressure of being able to draw PERFECTLY. Sit back, have fun, and enjoy the lesson!

We offer this workshop both online AND in person concurrently - if you want to get that sweet hands on and social connection, then coming in person is best! But if you aren't in Oslo, or don't mind having a more passive experience, then come on down online. (Since you won't get as much "attention" with the online class, you get a hefty discount! The same knowledge, exercises, and community but c h e a p e r....!)
