Special Workshop: Facial Expressions
Learn all about the facial muscles, and how they work to make express different emotions.
Time & Location
Mar 19, 2020, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Blank Space, Storgata 32, Oslo, Norway
About the Event
Learning to draw the face is so much more than just knowing that there are two eyes and a nose, and where they go (unless you want to go all Picasso on us). Learning about the underlying structure, the muscles and bones and how they interact, are key to giving your drawings life!
Join us for this 2-hour lesson covering the basics of facial expressions - we will learn all about the major muscle groups and how they combine to create powerful narratives. Disgust, Happiness, Anger, Fear - every emotion uses the same muscles to portray entirely different feelings.
Instructor and professional friend Liz Ramsey will guide you through the basics of this science, and talk about exaggeration and personality to top it all off so you can become better at giving your drawings that extra bit of oomph when drawing characters of all types.
